CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE SIXTH AND SEVENTH TRAINING SESSIONS FOR SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM INSTALLER TECHNICIANS
As part of the implementation of the Government’s policy aimed at promoting renewable energy and national capacity building in the solar sector, the Ministry of Water Resources and Energy has a centre for monitoring, analysis, incubation and training in solar technologies, known as STAR-C (Solar Technology Application and Resource Center), established through cooperation between the Republic of Cameroon and the International Solar Alliance (ISA).
In this regard, the Minister of Water Resources and Energy hereby informs the public that two intensive training sessions will be organized at the said centre, located at Bastos, each lasting five (05) days. The programme is as follows:

Session 6: 21 to 25 September 2026: Solar PV Mini-grids;

Session 7: 12 to 16 October 2026: Rooftop solar photovoltaic systems;
1. Training objectives
This training aims at:
-
Strengthening the technical skills of solar photovoltaic system installers;

Promoting the use of renewable energy in Cameroon;
-
Contributing to the development of qualified local expertise.
2. Target Audience
Applications are open to technicians, engineering students, lecturers and engineers in the field of renewable energy or in any equivalent field.
3. Application Procedure
Interested applicants are invited to fill the application form available at the following address: https://forms.gle/E2cww2VsCSHPzGEW6 or scan the QR code below and attach the following documents:

A letter of motivation addressed to the Minister of Water Resources and Energy;

A copy of the applicant’s CV indicating his/her academic background;

A copy of the most relevant diploma or certificate related to this training.
The deadline for the submission of applications is the 16th of September 2026 at 6:00 p.m. for session 6 and the 30th of September 2026 at 6:00 p.m. for session 7.
4. Selection of Candidates
Candidates will be selected based on the review of the application files submitted. As the number of participants is limited to thirty (30) places per session, only shortlisted candidates will be informed individually via email. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
5. Training Fees
The training is free of charge for selected candidates. The related costs will be covered by the International Solar Alliance (ISA).
