Cameroon-Algeria Cooperation: Algerian Economic Operators Received in Audience at MINEE

The Minister of Water and Energy, Mr. Gaston ELOUNDOU ESSOMBA received in audience on Monday, 23 January 2023 a strong delegation of Algerian economic actors operating in the fields of water and energy.

The delegation led by Mrs. Saida NEGHZA, President of the General Confederation of Algerian Enterprises (CGEA), was accompanied by the Ambassadors of the two respective countries. The businessmen were given the opportunity to present their specific areas of activity in relation to the sector. During the meeting, the Minister gave an overview of the projects in the water and energy sub-sector that require investments to make up for the production deficit the country is facing in the water and electricity sectors. He also presented the potential of Cameroon that could interest investors. His Excellency, Mr. BOUMEDIENE Mahi, Ambassador of Algeria in Cameroon, reiterated his country’s willingness to strengthen cooperation ties with Cameroon.
