Bilateral cooperation Cameroon-Israel 🇨🇲🇮🇱: Gaston Éloundou Essomba welcomes H.E. Amnon Kalmar.
It was 11 a.m. on Monday 15 July 2024, when Water and Energy Minister Gaston Éloundou Essomba welcomed H.E. Amnon Kalmar, the State of Israel’s new ambassador to Cameroon. For half an hour, the two personalities exchanged views on the common interests between Cameroon and Israel in the development of renewable energies and the construction of drinking water infrastructure. Gaston Éloundou Essomba presented the numerous electricity projects underway, in particular the plan to revamp the electricity sector following the commissioning of the first 60 MW Nachtigal unit on 10 May. In return, the Israeli diplomat presented the Hebrew State’s rich experience in the field of renewable energies, in particular solar power. The two personalities discussed the many avenues for cooperation in the above-mentioned fields. Israeli diplomat Amnon Kalmar is Israel’s new Ambassador to Cameroon. He presented a copy of his letters of appointment on 26 June.
