Koupa-Matip Notables Seek Minister’s Support Over Electricity Shortages
A delegation of notables from Koupa-Matip in the Foumban subdivision was received in audience by the Minister of Water Resources and Energy on September 30, 2026, to draw attention to persistent electricity shortages affecting the community.
During the meeting, the delegation presented their concerns to the Minister, highlighting the difficulties faced by residents as a result of inadequate and unreliable electricity supply. They appealed to the Ministry to take appropriate measures to improve the situation and provide lasting relief to the population.
The Minister welcomed the delegation and listened attentively to the concerns raised. He acknowledged the importance of the issues presented and assured the notables that the situation would be looked into as soon as possible.
The Minister further pledged that appropriate solutions would be sought to help alleviate the electricity challenges faced by the people of Koupa-Matip.
